In conjunction with the Children’s Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS), Charity Fly Fishing Competition to be held at the lake of Menteith on Saturday 15 May. I would like to offer as auction, the opportunity for 3 rods to fish the Kinermony beat of the River Spey on Saturday 28th August. This offer will not only be confined to this forum and is open to anglers of any standard. Spey Casting instruction will be given free of charge, if required.

The lot will go to the highest bidder by 6pm on the 14th May as the fee will be handed over to event organiser Kevin McCabe and added to the total raised at the Lake of Menteith. If the date is unsuitable, I will be able to arrange an alternative day in September. As a guide, one daily rod at that time of year normally costs around £80-100.

http://www.chas.org.uk/

Birchbank House owned by my good friend and Kinermony regular Peter Kyte has a few vacancies next year due to many beats bringing forward their fishing lets by a week, enabling anglers to maintain their position on the calendar. Listed below are the current weeks available along with a link to the Birchbank web-site. I assure you, there is no better self-catering accommodation to be had on Speyside - fact. I can't guarantee how long these dates will remain available therefore consider getting in touch with Peter pretty sharpish.

11 april
2 may
9 may
6 june
4 july
18 july
29 aug
12 sept

http://www.birchbankhouse.com/
