Ok Gents,

We seem to have a date in place for the the innagural Alba 4 ball this will take place on Rosemount Golf Course on Saturday the 11th September around 2-3 ish, this will allow plenty of time for everyone to get there and any practice that may be required.
We will be playing off the tiger tees and the one local rule 17.2.3 states that when playing off the tiger tees and one cannot reach past the ladies tees with ones drive then that said individual will require to walk the entire hole with his porker out....... be warned that the 13th hole the difference between the back and the ladies is a mere 123 yds!!!!!!!!!...
I look forward to any suggestions for the teams and I would expect all bets to be honoured especially you Paul..
Look forward to it chaps
P.s how did you get on at murryshall Davie????

We continued on from our success in qualifying for the "Anglian Water-Airflo International" final( minus Jock"THE CROCK" Royan) by qualifying easily for the semi-final of this years Scottish Clubs. A cracking catch on the night by Jimmy"Part-timer"Hunter 5 fish on dries and Buzzers at the Malling burn area which proved to be the 2nd best catch of the night, god knows how good he'd be if he took it up full-time! This was only bettered(a tad luckily) by myself thanks to the previous nights practice cheers Davie, i targeted the larger fish "bit trickier" off the reeds all on dries. Our team had 11 fish 2nd place had 5 fish so a pretty convincing team performance, well done guys!!!!!!!

p.s. Jock had 1

In conjunction with the Children’s Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS), Charity Fly Fishing Competition to be held at the lake of Menteith on Saturday 15 May. I would like to offer as auction, the opportunity for 3 rods to fish the Kinermony beat of the River Spey on Saturday 28th August. This offer will not only be confined to this forum and is open to anglers of any standard. Spey Casting instruction will be given free of charge, if required.

The lot will go to the highest bidder by 6pm on the 14th May as the fee will be handed over to event organiser Kevin McCabe and added to the total raised at the Lake of Menteith. If the date is unsuitable, I will be able to arrange an alternative day in September. As a guide, one daily rod at that time of year normally costs around £80-100.

http://www.chas.org.uk/

I have just heard of an excellent opportunity for 2 rods to fish the Craigellachie beat of the Spey in May. The opportunities to fish on the Spey in May are similar to that of finding hen's teeth and this offer will purely be on a first come - first served basis. Dates 10-12 May inc - Cost £130 per rod/day.
