The Veterans Fly Fishing Team
The Veterans Fly Fishing Team are a group of keen fly fishermen who have all served in the Armed Forces. Over the years we have competed against each other in Major League, International and Inter-Service matches. Based upon mutual respect, great rivalries and friendships were formed and now we have come together to form a united team. The team are proud to be supported by John Norris of Penrith and Greys.
As you can see from the profiles below, we have a talented pool of angler, many with International Caps and our aim is to compete in domestic and International fly fishing competitions, both on Rivers and large Stillwaters.
Our first event was the Grayling Festival on the Welsh Dee. This is a particularly freindly event with a gathering of anglers from across Europe taking part. We look forward very much to entering again in 2015.
